Conferences for coaches

Interactive sessions that help coaches experience mental performance, not just hear about it.

These sessions are designed for coaching conferences, sport organizations, and professional development events.

We’re changing how youth experience sport.

Most conference sessions talk about mental performance. These sessions let coaches experience it.

We designed these sessions to feel more like a practice than a presentation. Coaches take part in activities, discussions, and real scenarios that bring mental performance concepts to life. Instead of leaving with a few ideas on a slide, participants leave with tools they can apply immediately in their coaching environments.

Playing mental games

Live it. Coach it. Grow it.

A series of immersive workshops where coaches learn mental performance by experiencing it.

The best way to build mentally strong athletes is through their coaches. When coaches understand the mental side of sport, they reinforce it every day through their feedback, language, and environment.

The Playing Mental Games workshop series brings mental performance to life through reflection, discussion, and real coaching moments.

Coaches explore how belief, communication, and learning environments shape athlete development. They practise coaching tools, experiment with language, and learn how to support athletes through pressure, growth, and setbacks.

Participants leave with practical tools they can bring directly back to their teams.

Feeling safe to go all in

Creating psychologically safe environments for learning and performance.

Athletes perform best when they feel safe enough to take risks and fully engage in learning.

This session helps coaches understand how psychological safety influences both development and performance. Through interactive activities and reflection, coaches explore how their behaviours and communication shape the environment athletes experience.

Participants leave with strategies for building trust and encouraging athletes to fully commit to training and competition.

Rethinking talent

Coaching for who athletes can become.

Talent is often mistaken for early performance.

This session helps coaches rethink how they recognize potential. Coaches explore how fixed mindset thinking can influence talent identification and how belief, effort, and coachable behaviours often predict long-term success more accurately than early results.

Participants leave with a sharper eye for potential and practical strategies to support athlete growth over time.

Coaching confidence

Empowering growth in athletes for long-term success.

Coaches influence athlete confidence through the words they choose.

This session explores how praise, feedback, and communication shape athlete motivation and learning. Coaches experiment with growth-minded language and practice applying it in real coaching scenarios.

Participants leave with practical tools to reinforce confidence and encourage athlete development.

Cueing to play freely

Using cues to support athletes’ learning and performance.

The words coaches use shape how athletes move, learn, and perform.

This session explores how coaching cues influence attentional focus and skill learning.

Coaches experiment with different cueing approaches and discover how small changes in language can dramatically affect performance.

Participants leave with practical tools for delivering clearer and more effective coaching cues.

What the science says about the ‘art’ of coaching

Panel on coaching mental resilience and agility.

Coaches regularly face complex situations that require quick judgment and thoughtful leadership.

This panel brings coaches into guided discussions around real mental performance challenges in sport. Through group dialogue and expert insights, participants explore practical strategies for navigating pressure, setbacks, and athlete wellbeing.

Participants leave with ideas and perspectives they can apply immediately in their coaching environments.

These sessions are designed for organizations that want practical coach development rather than another lecture.

Frequently asked questions

Keynotes are designed to inspire and shift perspective. They usually feel like a TED-style talk where the audience listens and reflects together. Seminars blend focused discussion with interaction, while workshops are the most hands-on, with practical activities and skill-building built directly into the session.

That’s what the initial conversation is for. We’ll talk through your audience, context, and goals, then recommend the option that fits best. And who knows, maybe we don’t even have what you need, and we’ll say that, too.

Most sessions run between 60 and 90 minutes, and some events schedule one to three sessions back-to-back. We’re flexible and work within your event structure.

Absolutely. Examples, language, and activities are adapted to your sport, age group, and coaching context so the content feels relevant, not generic.

A strong yes. We want coaches not only to be present but also to participate. Part of any leadership model is to model behaviours and attitudes. A coach who’s engaged will lead to better mental buy-in and, in turn, better outcomes. Moreover, when coaches use the same language and tools, the impact lasts much longer.

Audience details, numbers, timing, space setup, AV access, and the logistical details that help the session run smoothly. The clearer the context, the better the session lands.

Sometimes. We’re actively working toward independent accreditation, but conference organizers usually handle credit approval on their end. We’re happy to provide documentation or details if needed.

Yes. We often include summary handouts or simple reinforcement tools so learning doesn’t end when the session does.

Many coaches or organizations choose to follow up with one-on-one support, team sessions, or curriculum to keep the learning and growth going.
