Angie Fan

Certified practitioner, care coordinator

Angie’s passion for helping athletes elevate purpose into performance stemmed from her own experiences as a former competitive figure skater. She knows what it means to build an identity around sport — and to have it suddenly fall apart.

As a former competitive figure skater who navigated career-ending injuries, Angie developed an intimate understanding of the psychological demands unique to aesthetic sports: the tensions of balancing athleticism with artistry and the pressures of being evaluated on both. She also experienced the compounding weight of inadequate support and coaching relationships that fell short of what athletes deserve — and it is precisely that experience which drives her commitment to doing this work differently.

After establishing a coaching and choreography career defined by systemic success with a person-first philosophy and connection-oriented approach, Angie pursued her CMPC designation to create meaningful systemic changes in sport and help athletes become the best versions of themselves. Today, she works with Women’s Volleyball at Simon Fraser University (SFU), Skate Manitoba, and a range of individual athletes ranging from figure skating to soccer at the provincial to international levels.

With a BA (Hons.) in Psychology from SFU, an MHK in Mental Performance from uOttawa, and her current role as an NCCP Provincial Certified Coach, Angie holds a strong understanding of human performance to help athletes excel. She brings evidence-informed practice, lived experience, and genuine care to the work. Through a collaborative approach, she’ll help you create growth that is just as meaningful as it is measurable.
